Travel safety rules
Monkeytravel [TOTO Booking Co., Ltd.] is not a conventional travel agency that sells or operates package tours. Instead, we act as a booking agent for local travel services — such as hotels, tours, and attraction tickets — for independent travelers, charging only a minimal service fee. As we are not directly involved in the operation of these services, all products are selected and used at your own discretion. Please take every precaution to ensure your personal safety throughout your trip.
Basic Safety Precautions
  • Always wear your seatbelt when traveling by vehicle.
  • When getting in or out of a vehicle, and when crossing the street, always look around carefully.
  • Pay special attention to safety when participating in water or marine sports.
  • Always warm up before water activities. Never swim after drinking alcohol or eating heavily.
  • Those with physical or mental health concerns, or any pre-existing medical conditions, should avoid products involving strenuous activities.
  • Keep a close eye on your valuables and cash to avoid loss or theft.
Important Safety Precautions for Each Product
① Hotel, etc.
  • Do not use the swimming pool outside of operating hours or when no lifeguard (hotel staff) is on duty. Never swim after consuming alcohol.
  • Children must be accompanied by a guardian when using the pool or other hotel facilities.
  • Do not drink tap water; only drink the provided bottled water. When eating at the accommodation, be sure to avoid anything you are allergic to or that may cause an adverse reaction.
  • Use the in-room safe or keep your valuables secure at all times to prevent loss or theft.
  • Bathroom, bedroom, and pool floors may be slippery — please take care.
  • After checking in, locate and familiarize yourself with the emergency exit routes in the building.
  • Please handle all property with care. Any damage caused by guest negligence will be charged directly to the guest.
  • Balconies can be dangerous — do not lean against the railing, and never leave children unsupervised on the balcony.
② Tour
  • By booking tours that include marine/water sports or other physical activities, you acknowledge the inherent risks of accidents, personal injury (including death), and loss or damage to property. Wearing appropriate safety equipment (such as life vests) is mandatory. Please follow all instructions from your local guide and take extra care for your personal safety.
  • Tours including marine/water sports (such as speedboat rides and snorkeling) or other physical activities (such as zip-lining, ATV riding, or elephant trekking) involve an element of thrill and physical demand. Please assess your own health and physical condition before participating. Those who are physically or mentally frail, or who have pre-existing medical conditions, are not permitted to join these tours.
  • Do not stand up while a speedboat is in motion — the ride can be very rough. Those with back problems should avoid speedboats. Always wait for instructions from the crew or guide before boarding or disembarking.
  • Wearing water shoes is recommended for your safety and to protect the marine ecosystem. Please avoid contact with marine creatures such as jellyfish and sea urchins.
  • If you encounter monkeys, elephants, or other wild animals during the tour, do not touch or feed them.
③ Vehicle
  • Always wear your seatbelt.
  • Look around carefully when getting in and out of the vehicle.
  • Before exiting, check that you haven't left any belongings behind.
④ Golf
  • If rain or lightning occurs during play, stop immediately and move to a safe shelter.
  • Stay alert at all times — stray balls can come from any direction, and other players may be nearby.
  • Always follow the caddy's instructions.
  • Do not operate the golf cart yourself; always let the caddy drive.
  • In hot weather, dehydration and heat stroke are real risks — stay well hydrated throughout your round.
⑤ Spa (Massage) Facility or Tourist Attraction (Tourist Facility)
  • If you experience pain or an allergic reaction during a spa or massage treatment, speak up immediately — do not endure it in silence. Notify your therapist right away.
  • When visiting tourist attractions or facilities, always read and follow any posted safety guidelines.
  • When visiting a zoo, do not touch, provoke, or disturb the animals. There is a risk of being bitten or injured.
There are many potential risks during travel that cannot all be listed here. We strongly urge you to stay vigilant and prioritize your personal safety at every moment of your trip.
  • The primary responsibility for safety incidents, loss, or any other issues arising from the use of our services lies with the booking party. Any accidents resulting from failure to follow the above safety guidelines or from personal negligence are the sole responsibility of the individual.
  • If you suffer material, physical, or mental harm due to an operator's neglect of safety management, negligence, or provision of false information, we — as a booking agency not directly involved in operations — bear no responsibility. In such cases, compensation must be sought directly from the relevant operator.
